A lot of netizens expressed their grief as Caitlin Lucas, a 3-year old girl who suffered from a rare disease, passed away yesterday. Her parents announced their daughter's death on "Courageous Catie" Facebook page.
Catie was diagnosed just this month with a rare blood disease called juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML). This uncommon blood condition affects babies and toddlers. Her parents, Feliz and Jayjay were restless in knowing their daughter's condition after they noticed Catie had bruises. It took them 6 months and several tests to finally diagnose the real medical issue. From Manila, the family flew to Singapore with the hope that the courageous girl will survive the one of a kind disease.
