A water birth is where the mother having labor in a pool or a bath tub. The mother will stay in the pool or tub until her delivery.
This practice can be done at the hospital and at home. The warm water will help you to ease the pain, keep you from needing anesthesia and making your labor more easy.
This is what Robin Baker, a California based photographer witnessed. When couple decided that the wife will give birth in the water. They wanted to keep the memories while giving birth to the twins.
The couple are expecting a regular delivery of twins but got surprised, 30 minutes after the delivery of the first baby. The second baby came with "En Caul" which means that the infant is still covered with amniotic sac. It is where the fetus develops.
