“He was just protecting me from people grabbing [me],” Liza Soberano said in defense of her onscreen partner Enrique Gil regarding a controversial photo that circulated online last week.
The photo, which was taken while they were shooting scenes for a Kapamilya station ID, showed Enrique touching Liza’s chest.
“Meron ding photo from the other angle showing the truth behind it,” Liza further explained, adding that Enrique would not do that kind of thing. “Kasi whenever we go on tours or something, when there’s a lot of people, they tend to grab me in my chest area. He was just covering me from them… Sabi pa nila, nakasimangot ako kasi hinawakan niya ako tapos tuwang tuwa pa siya,” she said.
Meanwhile, the love team was very happy that the kick-off event of the Dolce Amore Destiny World Tour held at Luneta Park last Sunday, May 1, turned successful.
“Natutuwa po kami kasi ibig sabihin lahat ‘yun fans ng Dolce Amore at saka talagang nanunuod. It feels really good na maraming sumusuporta po sa show namin kasi siyempre, gabi gabi po pinaghihirapan po naming pagandahin ‘yung show for them. We’re just happy that all the hard work pays off,” Liza said.
Likewise, Enrique acknowledge the fans’ efforts to show their love for the show, “Maraming, maraming salamat po. Ito po ‘yung first leg namin of the Destiny Tour.”
